RUP-Inception Phase

Phase I - Starting off the project on the right foot!

The Inception Phase of a given software project provides a formal process to measure the scope of work activity involved.  The goals of the proposed development activity are detailed, the business terminology is defined, and a high level definition of the business processes of the customer organization are documented.

The Inception phase's deliverable work products (artifacts) are used as a basis for work done in RUP Phase 2: Elaboration.
